What we do for you in any neighbourhood
Moving in Madrid has its own rules. Here's what you need to know and how we help.
Space for the vanTo use the street for a move, Madrid City Council requires a permit when the vehicle weighs more than 3,500 kg or has a tail lift or furniture hoist. You apply at least 20 days in advance, and in 2026 it costs a €60.52 processing fee plus €0.58 per metre per day1. Before you book, we tell you whether your move needs one and how to apply.
Loading and unloadingUnless the sign says otherwise, a loading bay can be used for 45 minutes at most2. We turn up with the right-sized team to finish as quickly as possible: 2 people for a studio or 1 bedroom, and 3 for 2 or 3 bedrooms.
Low-emission zones (ZBE)Across the whole city, vehicles without an environmental sticker face driving restrictions. The Centro district is also a special zone: you can't drive through it and only authorised vehicles can enter3. If your home is inside it, we take that into account when we plan the move.
Furniture you're not takingIt isn't part of the move or the price. The City Council collects it for free: on your neighbourhood's collection day, without booking, or by requesting it on 010 or in the Madrid Móvil app (less than 3 m³ and up to 6 items, one request per week). At the permanent recycling centres (puntos limpios fijos) you can drop off up to 5 pieces of furniture or bulky items for free, if you arrive in a private vehicle4.

The only thing that changes from one home to another is the stairs: without a lift, €50 per floor for the 1st and 2nd floors and €35 from the 3rd, in each home.
