No lift in either home
Floors are paid for at each home and you see them added up before you pay: €50 per floor for the 1st and 2nd floors and €35 from the 3rd. From a 2nd floor to a 1st floor without a lift, €150.
A street with no space for the van
Before you book, we tell you whether your move needs a permit to use the street and how to apply1: you have to apply 20 days in advance.
A studio
If what you're taking fits in 10 m³, it's a studio move: €349 with 2 people. If it's more, 1 bedroom: €449. It's set by the volume of your things, not the square metres of the flat.
What you're not taking
You don't pay for it: the price only covers what travels. To get rid of it, the City Council collects furniture for free once a month in your neighbourhood2; the days are in the questions below.

Questions about moving in Chamberí
I'm moving from a 2nd floor without a lift to a 1st floor without a lift: how much do I pay for the floors?
€150, because floors are charged at each home: at the one you're leaving, €50 for the 1st and €50 for the 2nd; at the new one, €50 for the 1st. With a studio move, €349 + €150 = €499.
Does my street need a permit to park the van?
It depends on the van. Madrid City Council requires a permit to use the street when the vehicle weighs more than 3,500 kg or has a tail lift or furniture hoist, and you have to apply at least 20 days in advance. Before you book, we tell you whether your move needs one and how to apply.
Does my flat fit in the smallest move?
If what you're taking takes up to 10 m³, yes: it's a studio move, €349 with VAT, with 2 people and up to 50 km. The size is set by the volume of your furniture and boxes, not the square metres of the flat. Above 10 m³, it's a 1-bedroom move: up to 18 m³, €449.
Which days is old furniture collected in Chamberí?
Once a month, for free: Gaztambide, the third Thursday; Arapiles, the third Wednesday; Trafalgar, the third Tuesday; Almagro, the fourth Tuesday; Ríos Rosas, the fourth Monday; and Vallehermoso, the fourth Sunday. You leave it out that evening next to the nearest bin.
