- Access to, browsing and use of the Website.
- The contracting of the temporary storage service for students ("Students"), governed by clauses 3 to 11.
- The contracting of the moving service, governed by clause 12.
In these Terms, storage for students and moves are together referred to as the "Service". Clauses 4, 7, 8.3, 8.4, 10 and 13 to 21 apply to both.
Accessing the Website and contracting the Service imply full and unreserved acceptance of these Terms, as well as of the Privacy Policy and the Cookie Policy.
Users are advised to read these Terms carefully before using the Service. If the User does not agree with them, they must refrain from using the Website or contracting the Service.
3. Description of the student storage service
Let's Box It offers a comprehensive temporary storage service for university students who have moved to Madrid to study, which includes:
- Delivery to the User, before pick-up, of the boxes and packing materials. The boxes are included in the price and the User keeps them.
- Packing of the belongings, which the User does themselves. If the User books the packing service, it is carried out by the Let's Box It team.
- Pick-up of the boxes and items at the address and on the date indicated by the User. In the 2027 season, pick-ups take place between 17 May and 30 July.
- Storage during the summer period in a warehouse in Madrid with video surveillance.
- Delivery of the boxes and items to the address indicated by the User, on the delivery date the User chooses when booking. In the 2027 season, deliveries take place between 15 August and 30 September.
- Insurance covering the stored goods as set out in clause 9.
The Service does not include the storage of vehicles, bicycles, perishable products, animals, hazardous substances, cash, jewellery, works of art, original documents, or any object whose possession is prohibited or regulated.
4. Capacity to contract
To contract the Service, the User must:
- Be over 18 years of age with full legal capacity to contract.
- If under 18, have the express authorisation of their parents or legal guardians, who will be jointly and severally liable for compliance with these Terms.
- Provide truthful, accurate and up-to-date information.
- Accept these Terms, the Privacy Policy and the Cookie Policy.
5. Storage contracting process
5.1. Booking
Contracting the Service begins with payment of a €20 booking deposit through the Website. In the 2027 season, bookings can be made between 10 May and 23 July, at least one week before the pick-up date. This booking deposit:
- Reserves the User's place for the service of the relevant season.
- Is deducted from the final price of the Service.
- Is not an additional cost, but an advance payment of the total price.
When booking, the User chooses the pick-up date and the delivery date, which is mandatory. After paying the booking deposit, the User will receive a confirmation email and Let's Box It will message them on WhatsApp to coordinate the details of the Service.
5.2. Coordination of the service
The dates chosen when booking can later be changed on the terms of clause 8 (cancellation and changes). Let's Box It will coordinate the following with the User by WhatsApp, telephone or email:
- The time or time slot for pick-up and delivery.
- Approximate number of boxes and items.
- Delivery address (if different from the pick-up address).
5.3. Pick-up and payment of the balance
On the pick-up day, the Let's Box It team will collect the User's boxes and items. After verifying the final number of boxes and items, the total price of the Service will be calculated according to the current rates published on the Website.
The remaining amount (total price minus the €20 booking deposit) is paid on the pick-up day, by card or with a mobile phone at that moment. If the User is not present or someone else is paying (for example, their parents), Let's Box It will send them a payment link. Let's Box It will never take a payment without first telling the User the amount.
6. Storage prices
The prices of the Service are published on the Website, are calculated per box and per season according to the number of boxes, and include:
- The boxes and packing materials (the User keeps the boxes).
- Pick-up and delivery at your door.
- Storage during the summer period.
- Insurance of the stored goods.
- Applicable taxes.
Loose items (for example, chairs, suitcases or a mini fridge) and the packing service provided by the team are charged separately, according to the rates published on the Website.
Prices may be updated at any time, but changes will not affect bookings that have already been confirmed. The applicable price will be the one in force at the time the booking is made.
If the User books items or services not included in the standard rate (special furniture, volumes larger than expected, etc.), Let's Box It will state the additional price before proceeding and will obtain the User's express agreement.
7. Payment methods
Let's Box It accepts the following payment methods:
- Credit or debit card, or mobile phone payment, through the secure payment platform Stripe, which complies with PCI-DSS security standards. Payment can be made on the Website, at the time of the service or through a payment link sent by Let's Box It.
Let's Box It does not store, and has no access to, the User's full card details. All payment information is transmitted in encrypted form directly to the payment service provider.
8. Changes and cancellation
8.1. Changing the storage dates
The User can change the pick-up date at no additional cost by notifying Let's Box It at least 14 calendar days before the originally stated date, subject to availability.
The delivery date chosen when booking can be changed by writing to Let's Box It on WhatsApp or by email, subject to availability within the delivery period.
8.2. Cancellation of storage by the User
The User may cancel the Service:
- With 14 or more calendar days' notice before the pick-up date: free cancellation and a full refund of the €20 booking deposit within a maximum of 14 calendar days.
- With less than 14 calendar days' notice before the pick-up date: the €20 booking deposit will not be refunded, except in the case of duly proven force majeure.
The cancellation of moves is governed by clause 12.6.
8.3. Consumer's right of withdrawal
In accordance with Royal Legislative Decree 1/2007 (Real Decreto Legislativo 1/2007, the Consolidated Text of the General Law for the Protection of Consumers and Users), a User who is a consumer has 14 calendar days from the conclusion of the contract (payment of the booking deposit or the down payment) to withdraw from it without having to give any reason, provided that performance of the Service has not begun.
To exercise the right of withdrawal, the User must notify Let's Box It unequivocally:
- Email: hola@letsboxit.es
- By post: Plaza San Martín 1, 28013 Madrid
- Or by using the withdrawal form available in Annex I to these Terms.
If the User expressly asks for the Service to begin before the withdrawal period ends (for example, by authorising a pick-up or a move during those days), the User acknowledges that they will lose the right of withdrawal once the Service has been fully performed.
8.4. Cancellation by Let's Box It
Let's Box It may cancel the Service in the following cases:
- Supervening impossibility of providing the Service due to force majeure.
- Breach of these Terms by the User.
- False or fraudulent information provided by the User.
- Well-founded suspicion that the goods to be stored or transported breach clause 3 or 12.8.
In the event of cancellation by Let's Box It that is not attributable to the User, the full amount paid will be refunded.
9. Liability and insurance for storage
9.1. Insurance of the stored goods
Let's Box It holds insurance covering the stored goods against damage or loss during the storage period, up to the limit set out in the policy in force at the time the service is provided.
The User may request information on the specific scope and limits of the cover by writing to hola@letsboxit.es before contracting the Service.
9.2. Exclusions from cover
The insurance does not cover:
- Goods not declared at the start of the Service.
- Goods excluded under clause 3 (vehicles, perishable items, jewellery, works of art, original documents, cash, etc.).
- Pre-existing damage or damage resulting from normal wear and tear.
- Damage caused by the User themselves or by third parties unrelated to Let's Box It.
- Indirect losses, loss of profit or non-material damage.
9.3. Procedure in the event of damage or loss
If the User finds damage or loss to their goods at the time of delivery, they must notify Let's Box It within a maximum of 48 hours of delivery, by:
- Email to hola@letsboxit.es.
- Photographic documentation of the damage.
- A detailed description of the affected item and, if possible, proof of its value.
Let's Box It will process the claim with the insurance company and will keep the User informed of its progress.
9.4. Limitation of liability
Without prejudice to the statutory guarantees applicable to consumers, Let's Box It limits its liability to direct and foreseeable damage actually caused by its act or omission. Let's Box It will not be liable for:
- Damage caused by force majeure (fire, flooding, burglary involving forced entry, etc., unless covered by the insurance).
- Indirect losses, loss of profit or loss of opportunity.
- Damage arising from false or incomplete information provided by the User.
- Damage to goods that are undeclared or excluded under clause 3 or 12.8.
10. User obligations
The User undertakes to:
- Provide truthful and accurate information about the goods to be stored or transported.
- Not include among those goods any of those excluded under clause 3 or 12.8.
- Be present, or have a person they trust present, on the day of pick-up, delivery or the move, unless otherwise agreed with Let's Box It.
- Provide access to the pick-up and delivery location.
- Pay the price of the Service on the agreed terms.
- Notify any change to their contact details.
11. Maximum storage period
The Service is designed for the university summer period: goods are stored from pick-up until the delivery date chosen, at most 30 September of the relevant season.
If the User wants their goods to remain in storage after 30 September, storage from 1 October will be charged per box and per month at the rate published on the Website, and the User will be told beforehand.
If the User does not receive their goods on the agreed delivery date, Let's Box It will contact them to arrange a new date. If 30 calendar days pass from the originally agreed delivery date without the User having received their goods or replied to Let's Box It's communications, an additional storage charge will apply, which will be communicated to the User beforehand.
If 6 months pass from the agreed delivery date without a reply from the User, Let's Box It may consider the goods abandoned and proceed in accordance with applicable law.
12. Terms for moves
In short: we give you a fixed price in writing based on your inventory, you book with a €50 down payment and you pay the rest on moving day. If you cancel with 48 hours' notice or more, we refund the €50.
12.1. Fixed quote
The price of the move is calculated on the Website (letsboxit.es/mudanzas) from the inventory and, where applicable, the photos provided by the User: size of the home, furniture, boxes, origin and destination addresses, floors and lift, and additional services. With that information, Let's Box It gives the User, before the down payment is made, a fixed quote in writing with a breakdown of each item and the total price including VAT, according to the rate published on the Website at the time of booking.
If the User uses the photo-based calculation, an artificial intelligence tool proposes the inventory from their photos. That proposal is indicative: the User reviews it, corrects it if necessary and confirms it before booking, and the quote is calculated from the inventory the User confirms. The processing of those photos is explained in the Privacy Policy.
The quoted price does not change on moving day, except in the cases provided for in clause 12.5. No overtime is charged.
12.2. What is included
- The van and the team of movers appropriate to the size of the home.
- Loading, transport and unloading, with protection for the furniture.
- Up to 50 km between origin and destination. From km 50 onwards, distance is charged per kilometre at the published rate.
- Insurance of the goods transported (clause 12.9).
- The additional services stated in the quote, at the published rate: floors without a lift, dismantling and reassembly of furniture, packing, boxes and overnight stay, where applicable.
Moves of homes with 4 or more bedrooms cannot be booked on the Website: they are quoted on request.
Let's Box It may carry out the move with collaborating professionals (for example, self-employed carriers), and remains responsible to the User for its proper performance.
12.3. Booking and payment
A move is booked by paying a €50 down payment on the Website, which is deducted from the total price. The rest is paid on moving day, by card or with a mobile phone at that moment, or through a payment link sent by Let's Box It. Let's Box It will never take a payment without first telling the User the amount.
12.4. Cancellation by Let's Box It
Let's Box It may cancel the booking and refund the down payment in full if it cannot provide the service under the conditions requested.
12.5. Items not declared in the inventory
If on moving day there are more items of furniture or boxes than in the inventory, they will be charged using the same price table as the quote. If the total volume is greater than declared, the proportional part of the price difference up to the next home size will be charged.
Before loading anything not declared, the team will tell the User the additional amount and obtain their agreement. If the User does not agree, those items will not be transported.
12.6. Cancellation and changes
- With 48 hours' notice or more before the time of the move: the €50 down payment is refunded in full.
- With less than 48 hours' notice: the down payment is not refunded, except in the case of duly proven force majeure. The same rule applies if the team cannot carry out the move because, without prior notice, nobody is there to meet them at the origin.
Changes of date or time can be requested by WhatsApp or email and will be handled subject to availability. All of this is without prejudice to the right of withdrawal in clause 8.3.
12.7. Access, parking and permits
- The User must state accurately the floor, whether there is a lift and any access difficulties at the origin and destination (narrow stairs, furniture that does not fit in the lift, building management hours).
- The price assumes that the van can park close to the entrance. If that is not possible, the User must say so when requesting the quote.
- If the move requires a municipal permit (for example, to occupy the public highway) or access to a restricted area, Let's Box It will state this in the quote and agree with the User in writing who will arrange it and what it will cost.
- If on moving day the access does not match what was declared, the published rate will apply (for example, the rate for floors without a lift), and the User will be told beforehand. If an object cannot be moved without risk to people, the property or the object itself, the team may decline to transport it.
12.8. Items that are not transported
We do not transport cash, jewellery, original documents or other valuable or personal items that the User should carry themselves; hazardous, flammable or illegal substances; weapons; perishable products; animals; or objects that, because of their weight or size, require special equipment (for example, pianos, safes or the use of a hoist), unless they are expressly included in the quote.
12.9. Moving insurance
Moves include insurance of the goods transported against damage or loss during the move, up to the limit set out in the policy in force at the time the service is provided. The User can ask for information on its scope and limits by writing to hola@letsboxit.es before booking.
If the User finds damage or loss, they must tell the team when the move is finished or, if the damage was not visible at that moment, notify Let's Box It as soon as possible and in any event within 7 calendar days, with photographs and a description of the affected item. The following are not covered: objects that are undeclared or excluded under clause 12.8, pre-existing damage, and damage to the contents of boxes packed by the User where the box itself shows no visible damage.
12.10. Discount if you also store with us
If the User also contracts storage of their goods with Let's Box It, a 15 % discount applies to the price of the move. The discount will appear in the quote.
13. Changes and errors
The User is responsible for the accuracy of the information provided during the booking process. If they notice an error, they can correct it before completing the booking or by contacting Let's Box It through the channels indicated in clause 1.
Let's Box It reserves the right to correct obvious errors in prices or information published on the Website, informing the User before the Service is provided.
14. Communications
Communications between Let's Box It and the User will mainly be by email, WhatsApp or telephone, using the details provided by the User in the booking form.
The User expressly consents to the use of electronic means for all communications relating to the Service, acknowledging that they meet the legal requirements for written communication.
15. Intellectual property
All content on the Website (texts, images, logos, trademarks, design) is owned by Let's Box It or by third parties who have authorised its use, and is protected by intellectual and industrial property law.
Reproduction, distribution or public communication without express authorisation is prohibited.
16. Data protection
The processing of the User's personal data is governed by the Privacy Policy published on the Website, which can be accessed at any time from the footer.
17. Force majeure
Let's Box It will not be liable for failures to perform arising from force majeure, including but not limited to: natural disasters, fires, floods, pandemics, social unrest, decisions of public authorities, failures in basic utilities, or any other unforeseeable or unavoidable circumstance beyond its control.
In these cases, Let's Box It will inform the User and, if provision of the Service becomes impossible, will refund the amounts paid.
18. Complaints and claims
The User can submit complaints or claims through:
- Email: hola@letsboxit.es
- By post: Plaza San Martín 1, 28013 Madrid
- Telephone: +34 664 530 600
Alternative dispute resolution: in accordance with Regulation (EU) 524/2013, a User who is a consumer can access the European online dispute resolution platform: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr/
19. Partial invalidity
If any clause of these Terms is declared void or unenforceable by a competent authority, that invalidity will not affect the validity of the remaining clauses, which will remain in force.
20. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by Spanish law.
Any dispute arising from the interpretation or performance of these Terms will be submitted to the jurisdiction of the Spanish courts. Where the User is a consumer, the competent forum will be that of their place of residence.
21. Changes to the Terms
Let's Box It reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time. Amendments will be published on the Website and will take effect from the moment of publication, with no retroactive effect on Services already contracted.
Users are advised to review the Terms each time they are about to contract the Service.
