A furniture delivery in Madrid costs from €40-60 for a small piece with a lift, €80-140 for a sofa or a wardrobe and €120-250 if two movers have to clear a room. In the furniture deliveries we do, what changes the price most is the lift: the same sofa can cost double because of the stairs. With us, a furniture delivery is from €79, VAT included.

In short

  • Market: small piece from €40, sofa or wardrobe €80-140, room €120-250; many rates are quoted without VAT.
  • Us: €79 (1 large item and up to 5 pieces) or €99 (2-3 large items and up to 10 pieces), VAT included.
  • What pushes the price up most: no lift and volume, not distance within Madrid.
  • With more than 3 large items it's already a move: from €349.

How much does a furniture delivery cost in Madrid?

It depends on volume. A small piece with a lift is from €40, a washing machine or fridge €50-70, a 2-seater sofa €80, a large wardrobe €140 and a whole room with two movers €120-250. Those market prices are usually without VAT and can vary by up to 40 % between companies for the same service.

What's the difference between a furniture delivery, a mini move and a move?

A furniture delivery moves one or two specific items, with a van and usually one mover. A mini move takes the contents of a room, with two movers and sometimes blankets, film and insurance. A full move takes a whole flat with two or three movers. Ask for a mini move when a furniture delivery falls short.

  • You have to move more than a room, not just one piece of furniture.
  • There are fragile items that need protection or packing.
  • It takes two people to load safely.
  • You want insurance and an invoice, not just a verbal agreement.

With us, a furniture delivery is from €79 and, from 3 large items, we're already talking about a move from €349.

What extras turn a “from €40” into €90 or €150?

The starting price is almost never the final one. The same piece that costs €40 with a lift can go up to about €90 when you carry it from the 2nd to the 3rd floor without a lift. Within Madrid, distance matters little: what makes a delivery dearer is volume and stairs. This is what usually gets added:

  • No lift: with us, €15 per floor with large furniture, at each address.
  • VAT: many rates are published without the 21 %; always add it.
  • Extra mover: on hourly hire, about €17 more per hour.
  • Taking apart or assembling: with us, €40 per item.
  • Outside Madrid municipality: €0.90 per km, round trip from the centre.

When do you need a lift platform?

Only when the piece doesn't fit up the stairs or into the lift, or when there's no lift and you have to go above the 4th-5th floor. Outside those two cases, a move in Madrid is done without a lift platform. When you do need one, the full service (platform, lorry and movers) runs from €250 to €1,500, with most cases between €500 and €1,000.

On top of that, placing it on the street requires a municipal permit: a flat fee of €60.52 plus €0.58 per linear metre per day. The moving company usually handles it, but ask before booking.

Ranges from Kaymon; permit according to Gacetín Madrid (Sustainable Mobility Ordinance).

Frequently asked questions

Do furniture deliveries include VAT in the advertised price?

Not always. Several reference rates are published without VAT, so a “from €40” can go past €48 just by adding the 21 %. Always ask whether the price includes it.

How much does it cost to transport a mattress, a bed base or a bed?

As a one-off delivery, a single mattress costs €40-60, a double €50-75 and a bed base or divan €55-80 (without VAT). A complete bed with a divan is around €100. Combining several pieces in one delivery usually works out cheaper.

Can I book a delivery to collect IKEA furniture?

Yes. IKEA offers its own home delivery from €12.90 (Family) or €22.90 in the Madrid area, and there are independent drivers on platforms like Cronoshare or Milanuncios from around €35.

Do you do furniture deliveries outside Madrid city?

Yes. Pick-up and delivery within the municipality of Madrid are included. Outside it, we add €0.90 per km, round trip from the centre of Madrid.
